Freshmen running back Benny Snell and offensive lineman Logan Stenberg have been named to the All-SEC Freshman Team. Snell, who didn’t play a snap in the first two games, had a historic season for Kentucky. The Ohio native rushed for a freshman school-record 1057 yards (eighth in the SEC) and 13 TDs. The Associated Press released their All-SEC honors today and three Wildcats made the list. Senior center Jon Toth was named to the first team, while safety Mike Edwards and linebacker Jordan Jones were named to the second team. Toth and Jones were both named to the Coaches’ All-SEC Second Team on Tuesday. Kentucky returned to their winning ways tonight, blowing out Valparaiso 87 to 63. The Wildcats used a balanced scoring attack to beat down the Crusaders. Bam Adebayo and Malik Monk led the way for the Cats. Adebayo was too strong down low and finished the game with 16 points and seven rebounds, while Monk continued to display his elite athleticism, scoring 15 points.
