KENTUCKY BASEBALL: UK with a 6-0 shutout over Xavier

UK came into tonight’s game focused on picking up another victory at The Cliff over Xavier and that’s exactly what they got, a 6-0 shutout with a fantastic start for sophomore Zach Thompson. He threw 6 innings, giving up only 1 hit with 5 strikeouts and improves to 5-2 for the season. With Wenyen Gabriel being the leading returning scorer at 4.6 points per game, this roster turnover is unlike any in the past for John Calipari. Former Auburn Tigers center and SEC Network sideline reporter Cole Cubelic joined KSTV to discuss Jon Toth’s future in the NFL as he hopes to hear his name called this weekend in the NFL Draft. The draft starts tomorrow night and runs through Saturday. Toth is currently the only Wildcat projected to be drafted and most mock drafts have him as a mid-round pick on Saturday.  Read more

Kentucky football is focusing on putting together its 2018 class right now and while they lost quarterback commit Jarren Williams yesterday, they picked up a big commitment last Friday from three-star athlete Shocky Jacques-Louis. Jacques-Louis is from Fort Meyers, Florida and is finishing up is junior year at Dunbar High School. He chose Kentucky over Georgia, Indiana, North Carolina and Cincinnati among others.
